The PAC World Global Conference allows PAC specialists from this field to exchange ideas and experiences, discover new technologies or advanced applications of the existing technology, learn about national or international conferences, gain access to reports from IEC, CIGRE and IEEE working groups or discuss concepts and philosophies used around the world. By organizing conferences covering different aspects of electric power systems protection, automation and control, PAC World is further expanding the communications between members of our community that will help them in the implementation of the Smart Grid concept in the most efficient way possible.
The conference format is unique not only in bringing experts from different domains of the PAC space together in the same virtual "room". The conference will be held in 8 sessions over 2 days. A total of 35 papers from many countries will be presented in live paper sessions during the two full days (48 hours!) of the conference, together with many more available as pre-recorded papers. All presentations will be available for 30 days after the event to those that registered for the conference events.
The “Ask the experts” session is another unique opportunity for participants at the conference to ask industry experts questions related to the challenges that they are facing in their everyday work and discuss them in an interactive environment.
Certificates will be provided based on your attendance duration in the live conference sessions. Earn up to 12 Professional Development Hours (PDH) which can be applied to NETA Continuing Technical Development Credits (CTDs).
** All those who register and pay for the conference sessions will receive copies of the papers and presentations after the conference ***
PAC World is a forum that brings together the community of electric power system’s Protection, Automation and Control (PAC) specialists is comprised of small groups, spread around the world. They can be found in an industrial facility, utility, consulting company, university or other various establishments. The PAC field is very specialized and going through significant changes — deregulation, downsizing, loss of expertise and changes in technology. The publishing of IEC 61850 – the standard for substation communications – is further revolutionizing our domain. We work in an ever- changing environment and it is clear that there is a need for a global forum, especially now with the global push for Smart Grids where protection, automation and control play a significant role.
